ASCENSION DANCE DOES FOURTH SEASON WITH B.E.T. SERIES

Sacramento-based, Ascension Dance, recently completed taping for the upcoming season of the longest running show on Black Entertainment Television:Bobby Jones Gospel. The three ladies - Venetia James, Melinda McClain and Wanel Thomas - capped its fourth season with the show praising along side a who's who of gospel's most known artists.

Born from a relationship while each attended college, the road traveled for the trained trio includes awards, memorable experiences and the opportunity to express God through dance. The latter, defined by the group as Theography, is a part of the foundation by which their on-stage activity and vision stands. Furthermore, Theography has taken on the characteristics of a movement. Along with dancing, teaching and mentoring; the group faces the task of building credibility for an overlooked genre. Along with Bobby Jones Gospel, whose season starts Sunday, October 7, 2012, Ascension also has its annual workshop planned for November, a scheduled European tour with Bobby Jones in December and much more yet to be finalized.
